As a young boy, Juan Carlos was abandoned by his father, who then kicked him and his mom out of their home, leaving them homeless and without a source of income. Since then his mother, Ana, has been struggling to provide food, shelter, and education.

He was going to quit school to get a job and generate some income to cover expenses. His education was a huge part of their monthly expenses, and they could not afford it any longer. In 2012 he became the first to receive a full scholarship.

In 2015, Juan Carlos became our first graduate, he had the highest honor of the school; carrying the national flag during the graduation ceremony and received a job offer. Juan Carlos is currently working as a bookkeeper while pursuing a college degree in accounting.
